Jason Momoa - Resumes Filming 2nd Season Of “See”

Jason Momoa is an American actor. He is widely known for portraying Arthur Curry / Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Aquaman and very well known for his role in “Game of Thrones” as the towering warlord Khal Drogo.

It's not a secret that Jason is a renowned motorcycle and muscle car enthusiast, and is hard to miss when he’s seen cruising the streets of Toronto, on a Harley-Davidson.

The 6f t4in star is back in the Ontario capital to resume shooting the second season of his science fiction drama series, See, for Apple TV+.

Season 1 of “See” is an American science fiction drama which premiered on November 1st, 2019 for Apple TV+ starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard in leading roles. It is written by Steven Knight and directed by Francis Lawrence.

Apple TV is starting to film the second series of “See” and production for season two started filming in early February, but they were forced to close the set due to the COVID-19 pandemic until a few weeks ago.

Jason is cast as “Baba Voss”, a skilled warrior and leader of the Alkenny tribe, in See.

The new season will feature a number of incoming stars including Dave Bautista, Alfre Woodard, Hera Hilmar, Sylvia Hoeks, Archie Madekwe and Nesta Cooper.

In the far dystopian future, a virus has decimated humankind. Those who survived emerged blind and the human race and society has had to find new ways to interact, build, hunt, and survive. When it’s revealed that Baba Voss and his wife Maghra have birthed twins with the gift of sight, they must protect the children at all costs from a desperate queen who wants them destroyed.

This looks and sounds like an intriguing series, and a return to big-scale fantasy for Mamoa, who broke out in Game of Thrones and later led Warner Bros. to its first billion-dollar-plus DC Comics hit with Aquaman. At one point he blows a big giant war horn while covered in forest mud, which is like everything you’d want from a Jason Momoa character.

Catch up on Apple TV for Season 1 now.  Season 2 is currently being filmed between November 2020 and March 2021, and that doesn't cover post-production and marketing. Looks like fans may have to wait until Autumn 2021 before it becomes available.
